Forced Performance (FP) TD05-68HTA Turbo for 02-07 WRX & 04-09 STi

The TD05-68HTA is FP's is the successor to the standard MHI 18G turbo and utilizes Hydraulic Turbine Assisted (HTA) compressor technology, allowing the 68HTA to operate with less backpressure and lower compressor outlet temperatures to maximize low and mid-range rpm boost response. This means that the 68HTA compressor is capable of pushing a max volume of 47lb/min while still outspooling the standard TD05-18G. The 68GTA TD05 compressor housing is coupled with a 7cm exhaust housing, designed for the best compromise between top end power and boost response. The TD05-68HTA uses an internal wastegate, includes an 8psi upgraded wastegate actuator and is intended to give the best performance when tuned between 18-28psi.

The TD05 68HTA is a true 350whp turbo with a noticable but generally tolerable lag increase on a 2.0 WRX. The 68HTA is a good 'medium' sized turbo option for 2.5 WRX and STi models. You can expect the FP 68HTA to make between 320-360whp when tuned with proper supporting modifications.

Special Notes:

1.) While FP turbochargers are considered 'bolt-on', this term refers to installation procedure only. All Forced Performance turbocharger upgrades for the 02-07 WRX & STI require an upgraded fuel pump, larger fuel injectors and ECU tuning. To achieve the advertised horsepower numbers, upgrading your intercooler, intake and exhaust system are also necessary.

2.) Forced Performance highly recommends their oil feed line for the 68HTA turbocharger. WRX & STI specific oil feed lines are available separately below.
